Valley House, Charlton

Valley House residents are perfectly situated to take advantage of all that Charlton and the wider Greenwich borough has to offer this summer. Candlelight Open Air is an outdoor concert taking place on various dates in the grounds of the Royal Museums. The Morassi String Quartet will perform a selection of movie soundtrack favourites, while the audience is treated to views of the location’s stunning architecture illuminated by candlelight. To top the event off, all tickets include a complementary glass of prosecco to enjoy with the show.

For those eager to explore London’s history, Charlton House and Gardens can be reached in under 20 minutes on foot. The beautiful Jacobean house is one of the most impressive properties surviving from the era, and it can be explored for free! The house is situated adjacent to spectacular walled gardens and grounds, including a sensory garden designed specifically for those with visual and physical disabilities. The house is located at the western edge of Charlton Park which offers various sports pitches, table tennis tables and a children’s playground, perfect to relax and enjoy a lazy afternoon with friends or family.

Pontoon Reach, Royal Docks

The apartments at Pontoon Reach are surrounded by the waters of the River Thames and the Royal Docks. There are plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the water this summer, for example by trying out some rowing, canoeing, sailing or even dragon boating with Royal Docks Watersports.  Alternatively, WakeUp Docklands, London’s only cable wakeboard park, offers a safe space to paddleboard or wakeboard right in the heart of the city.

The picturesque nature of the Royal Docks can be appreciated from The Roof Terrace at the nearby Good Hotel, with captivating views of the London skyline, the River Thames, the Royal Victoria Dock and the O2 arena at Greenwich. Open all summer long, this spot is perfect for enjoying an afternoon coffee or meeting with friends over an evening tipple.

Thames Barrier Park, just a few minutes’ walk from the development, offers 7-hectares of green space along the Royal Docks making it the largest riverside park launched in London for over 50 years. The park boasts stunning scenes over the river, and hosts an abundance of picnic areas that are perfect for long lunches in the summer sun.
