Peabody set to deliver 209 new homes in Deptford, SE8 including 41 Shared Ownership homes and 117 much needed London Affordable Rent homes to Lewisham.
Peabody is delighted to announce the purchase of a new site with planning on Frankham Street in Deptford, SE8, to create a selection of 1, 2,3 and 4 bed homes. The site will consist of 51 private sale, 117 London Affordable Rent and a further 41 homes available through Shared Ownership, a part-buy part-rent government backed scheme aimed at helping first time buyers onto the property ladder.
Working with award winning architects PRP and appointed building contractor's Mulalley, Frankham Street will see the refurbishment of the Old Tidemill Victorian School, to create 209 new homes as well as a large public realm and play area designed in collaboration with residents from the local community.
Frankham Street is ideally located for those wanting to feel connected as it benefits from fantastic transport links including Deptford Rail Station, Deptford Bridge DLR and New Cross underground all within walking distance. Residents will also be able to enjoy the open green space of Greenwich park, just 15 minutes-walk away or stroll along the River Thames connected by Deptford Creek.
The first completion at Frankham Street is anticipated for Autumn 2023 with a later phase completing in Winter 2025.
