Rosebank Works - Site Purchased for a New Mixed-tenure Development
Peabody have acquired a new site in Ealing to develop 37 new mixed-tenure homes. The site, named Rosebank Works, will provide 12 homes for social rent, 9 for private sale and 16 available through Shared Ownership.
Purchased from Mizen (Acton) Limited in July 2016 for £6.2 million, the site is located at Rosebank Way, Acton, Ealing, W3 6TT. Osel Architecture are the appointed architects for the new development, with construction due to complete around the start of 2018. Once complete, Rosebank Works will be transformed from a former office building to a desirable urban residence boasting sunken gardens and a wooden cladding system.
Phil Church, Regional Development Manager at Peabody comments, "This is an exciting development in the heart of Acton that will greatly benefit from Crossrail. We are proud that through our commitment to deliver more affordable homes for Londoners we have increased the proportion of affordable units to be delivered on site from the 32% stipulated in the planning permission to 76%."
Rosebank Works is nestled in North Acton in close proximity to popular North Acton Playing Fields and Wormwood Scrubs Park to the east. Central Ealing sits to the west of the development and is a 15-minute tube ride away.
Transport links to the site
The Rosebank Works site sits adjacent to Acton Mainline Station, which offers quick transport links to Paddington, and will benefit from Crossrail due to open in 2018. Acton North Underground station is on the Central Line just a 10-minute walk from the development, and connecting residents into the city of London.
Peabody will provide more information on the homes available at Rosebank Works through private sale and Shared Ownership closer to completion. For more Shared Ownership development opportunities, take a look at our property search.
