On Friday 26th April 2019, the Peabody team attended the First Time Buyer Readers' Awards at The Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square in London.

The awards, now in their 10th year are a fantastic celebration of housing associations, housebuilders and other industry professionals and their efforts to help aspirational buyers onto the housing ladder.

The awards themselves were voted for by the public so it's a huge honour to win at these prestigious awards, recognising Peabody's commitment towards helping first time buyers.

Peabody was nominated for an incredible 5 awards at this year's First Time Buyer Awards and is delighted to have won 2 and receive highly commended for another which you can read more about below:

Winner of First Time Buyer Award for Most Innovative Marketing Campaign at Merchants Walk

This award was given to the most innovative marketing campaign that has been carried out using all forms of media. Enabling first time buyers to find affordable housing, government schemes and mortgage deals.

Merchants Walk, our flagship regeneration in Bow, London E3, transformed a disused site into a community of 413 new homes, with 50% affordable housing. The innovative ‘Walk it, Work it, Live it’ campaign helped 240 first time buyers on to the property ladder, encapsulating Peabody’s commitment to providing affordable home ownership opportunities. The primary objective was to help as many first time buyers as possible, with Shared Ownership starting from just £126,000 (35% share) and Help to Buy from £355,000. The marketing campaign positioned the core audience at the forefront and was carried out through all forms of media, with a particular emphasis on social media.
