Peabody wins three First Time Buyer Awards
Peabody has won three First Time Buyer Awards after we were shortlisted in five categories. We were also highly commended for Affordable Housing Provider of the Year.
The First Time Buyer Readers’ awards are an annual celebration of the lengths that housing associations, developers and other companies go to help aspirational buyers on to the housing ladder.
We have an ambitious goal to build 2,500 new homes each year while continuing to deliver affordable homes across a range of tenures, and also providing a variety of products and services to help people buy their first home.
The mixed-use development, by Peabody and Hill, offers a collection of stylish 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments, innovative workspaces and picturesque courtyards. Designed by Lyndon Goode Architects, it has modern features and provides a unique contribution to the local environment.
Lennard Road, our modern, high-quality and 100% affordable housing development in Croydon, won Best Small Development. The scheme is made up of 17 Shared Ownership homes and nine for affordable rent.
Dick Mortimer, Executive Director of Development, said: “It’s brilliant news to be nominated for, and win, so many of these awards. These are all great schemes and it’s clear that the ultimate judge – the customer – backs the decision of the awards panel as they’re all selling quickly”.
Debbie Coombs, Director of Sales & Marketing, said: “We’re delighted that our hard work to help first time buyers onto the housing ladder has been recognised by industry experts and the public. From initial enquiry to completion, the whole team offers a first-class customer experience which is reflected in our customer’s feedback; 95% of Peabody’s new homeowners recommend us to others looking for a new home.”
