After, first exploring London Help-to-Buy, a government equity loan scheme, in which you need a minimum 5% deposit to purchase your new build home. Stephanie soon found that Shared Ownership was the better option for her, based on her financial situation.

“It has provided me security and enabled me to move out much sooner than I thought possible at a price that suits me.”
"My apartment feels bigger than a one bed which is such a bonus! I love the floor to ceiling windows as they make the apartment seem so open and airy and even though the development is central, I feel as though I’m away from the hustle and bustle as it’s so quiet and peaceful inside."

Vibrant community in Camberwell

Currently renting in Battersea and determined to purchase a property in London that she both loved and could afford, Stephanie came across The Gallery online and chose to explore Camberwell:

“I’m so pleased I ventured out of Battersea to discover something new, Camberwell has such a community feel in comparison to where I used to live. The convenience is great and there’s so much to do, I’m looking forward to exploring everything Camberwell has to offer once I’m settled in. I also love how close Peckham and Brixton are too”.

Camberwell is a real up-and-coming part of London, in an enviable Zone 2 location, offering an easier commute - one of the main factors that appealed to Stephanie:

“The Gallery is so central, from the moment I arrived I was able to gauge the vibrancy of Camberwell. One of the main boxes that I wanted to tick was a great location, which I’ve definitely found. I’m also not a huge fan of the tube, which influenced my decision to purchase here as Camberwell has numerous cycling lanes and bus routes. My commute to work is also a lot easier, which is great, I now cycle to Elephant and Castle and join the Cycle Superhighway over to Blackfriars Bridge.”

The Gallery comprises a selection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as spacious four-bedroom townhouses, located in the heart of Camberwell. Inspired by modern London living, the apartments showcase urban contemporary living with thoughtfully designed spaces and generously sized open plan areas. All with private in-set balconies, Stephanie exclaims:

“In three words, my first impressions were light, spacious and ready [to move into]. I could instantly envisage myself living there and I saw how the space would work for my lifestyle.”
