Peabody scooped three awards at the National Housing Awards last week. The awards celebrate excellence, innovation and creativity in the affordable housing sector.
Peabody won Best Marketing Campaign for Fish Island Village, the fourth year in a row that Peabody has won this particular category. Southmere Village in Thamesmead picked up highly commended for Best Scheme in Planning (30+ homes) and Peabody was also highly commended for Home Ownership Team of the Year. Congratulations everyone – the wins are really a testament to the great quality homes and experience we give our customers.
The awards were extra special for our team, as the charity of choice for the event was the Tommy Crush Foundation. Lisa Crush, our Interim Director of Sales & Marketing, set up the foundation with the aim is to help children and young people between the ages of 11 and 18 vulnerable to suicide which is a growing problem.
Lisa said “To be able to raise awareness of the Tommy Crush Foundation and all that it is trying to achieve on such a huge platform as the National Housing Awards was truly amazing. The Tommy Crush Foundation was established to honour my son who sadly left this world on 21st May 2018 aged just 17. The charity has been set up to help children and young adults vulnerable to suicide which is a growing problem and despite being in its first year, we have already raised funds that will really make a difference.”
Best Marketing Campaign
Peabody and our joint venture partner Hill took home Best Marketing Campaign for our innovative campaign for Fish Island Village in Hackney Wick. The awards judges praised the campaign for championing the local community, using creative talent to influence the marketing collateral and a diverse range of visuals from hoardings to sculptures.
The campaign far exceeded our objectives, generating 6,787 enquiries, selling 98% off-plan, and crucially 91% to first-time buyers. We’ve helped 209 first-time buyers realise their dream of home ownership at Fish Island Village… and counting!
